Tall floral container (17S)

Description

This tall container combines wheel  thrown and hand built  forms which were then altered to create the unique organic shape. Textural elements  were carved and pressed into the form and then coloured slip, underglazes, along with matt and glossy glazes were painted and poured onto the surface in order to create the painterly effect. The container was high fired to stoneware temperature vitrifying the clay and glazes making it completely water tight and washable.
